Rachelle Jennings   Miss Buckskin 1988

We are excited to announce Mrs. Rachelle Jennings as our new Superintendent for the 2019 - 2020 school year. Mrs. Tina Nolan will work with her to ensure a seamless transition. Here is a message from Rachelle to the Joel E. Barber School community!

I am gratefully humbled and honored to be your next Superintendent. We have much to be proud of here in the Joel E. Barber C-5 School District. I know you all seek to provide the best learning environment for our students and we have a strong community that supports us in our endeavors. I am excited to join your team and work collaboratively with you to ensure the rigor and relevance needed to prepare our students for their futures. You all have made great strides in providing for students; from the free food service programs you all offer, to the new FEMA shelter recently added, to the 1:1 initiative of Chromebooks in grades 3-8, and the professional development with curriculum work that you all are passionate about, it is evident you put students first! The Joel E. Barber School District’s shared vision on the importance of education is evident in your mission statement: Children are our future.

I am proud to be a product of public education, specifically, a Joel E. Barber K-8 graduate, and Miss Buckskin ‘88, as well as a Lebanon High School graduate! I have lived and worked in the Lebanon area my whole life, residing in the Joel E. Barber C-5 District for over 40 years. My husband and I have been married for 27 years and have 1 daughter who is a special education teacher at Esther Elementary here in Lebanon. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in special education. I look forward to getting reacquainted with friends at Joel E. Barber and meeting each of the new faces I don’t know. Go Buckskins!
